Dr George Gurguis, DDS
At Keilor East Dental Smiles, your dental health is in the highly skilled hands of Dr George Gurguis, a dedicated professional passionate about providing outstanding dental care to our Keilor East community.
Dr George always wanted to be a dentist. He was intrigued by the mix of science and artistry involved in dentistry. He enjoys creating smiles and using his artistic skills to achieve extraordinary cosmetic results.
Dr Shannon De Silva, DDS
Shannon graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide before returning home to work in Melbourne. After graduating, she worked in both the public and private sectors.
Shannon enjoys general dentistry and is passionate about making your dental experience as stress-free as possible. It’s particularly gratifying to help anxious patients be more at ease so they can receive the care they need.
Outside the clinic, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and spoiling her pet puggle!
Dr Lisa Peng, BDSc, MD
Lisa graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and a Master of Dentistry. As part of her program, she has provided care for a diverse patient base in regional Victoria. Her passion for improving community health involves outreach programs for local schools, kindergartens and aged-care facilities. Lisa takes pride in providing high-quality dental care for her patients. Her gentle and friendly demeanour helps alleviate any of the stress or anxiety often associated with dental care.
In her spare time, Lisa loves exploring new places to eat, reading and being a couch potato. Her spoken languages are English and conversational Mandarin.
Dr Arichana Santhanaraguraj
Ari completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and Masters of Dentistry at LaTrobe University. She has experience in working in clinics across metropolitan and regional Victoria. Ari understands that dental visits may be daunting to some patients and strives to make their experience pleasant and comfortable by approaching in a calm and gentle
manner. She is committed to taking the time to understand each of her patient’s needs and concerns and delivers individualized treatment plans to achieve the best results.
In her spare time Ari attends reformer pilates classes and enjoys spending
time with family and friends.
Emily Farrugia, Dental Assistant
Emily has worked at our clinic since 2022 as one of our dental assistants. She is currently working on completing her Bachelor in Nursing, at Australian Catholic University.
In her spare time, she likes to get together with her friends and family, explore new food places and play with her three dogs.
Janelle Muscat, Dental Assistant
Janelle began working with Keilor East Dental Smiles in 2022. Currently studying for a Diploma in Nursing, her goals are to complete her Bachelor of Nursing and become a cosmetic nurse.
Outside the clinic, Janelle enjoys eating out with friends and hanging out with her puppy, Pyro.
Brigid Nguyen, Dental Assistant
Driven by a passion for dental care and a genuine desire to bring smiles to every patient she encounters, Brigid began working at Keilor East Dental Smiles in 2022. She is pursuing her studies in tertiary education while continuing to work at our clinic, setting her sights on becoming a general dentist in the future.
Outside the clinic, Brigid dedicates her free time to reading and playing with her two dogs, Teggy and Shadow.
Wennet Suniga, Dental Assistant
Wennet graduated from Lyceum Northwestern University in the Philippines in 2019 and finds it rewarding to be an integral part of our dental team. She enjoys having the opportunity to develop her professional identity and sense of responsibility in assisting dentists during procedures and delivering a quality experience in patient care.
For Wennet, the most rewarding aspect of being a dental nurse is having the ability to reduce patients’ anxiety, make them feel comfortable and be able to communicate with them effectively.
When she’s not at the practice, Wennet likes to spend most of her time with her family, cooking, going on park visits with her little one and reading books or listening to music.
Ashley Ting, Dental Assistant
Ashley is passionate about healthcare and joined Keilor East Dental Smiles Team in 2024, she is eager to contribute to the field of dentistry. She is an aspiring dentist currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
Joyce Man, Dental Assistant
Joyce is a passionate dental assistant dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring that procedures are as comfortable as possible.
Joyce graduated from RMIT with a Bachelor’s in Social Science and is eager to expand her expertise across various areas of healthcare. Outside of work, she enjoys watching Korean dramas and spending quality time with her friends.
