Dr. George Gurguis
Dr Gurguis graduated from the university of Alexandria in 2006 with a Bachelor degree of Dentistry and Oral surgery ( BDS ). He has been practising as a General Dentist in private sectors of Melbourne’s western suburbs for over than 6 years. He currently runs his both practices in Keilor east and Maribyrnong.
Dr Gurguis has also completed a post-graduate 2 year Diploma in Dental Technology Melbourne in 2013, which has given him more comprehensive skills in denture construction. He currently a member of Australian society of Implant Dentistry ( ASID ), a member of Australian society of Endodontology (Vic branch ) and a registered Invisalign provider, his special interests in doing root canal treatments, Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry.
George is passionate about educating patients to value their teeth and smile and in providing quality treatment options at an affordable prices. Away from dentistry, he is a busy dad with his two boys Ivan and Oliver, enjoys jogging, reading and travels.
Dr Shannon De Silva
Shannon graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from The University of Adelaide before returning back home to work in Melbourne.
After graduating, she spent time working in both public and private sectors.
Shannon enjoys general dentistry and is passionate about making your dental experience as stress-free as possible. She finds being able to put anxious patients at ease particularly rewarding.
Outside the clinic, Shannon enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping and spoiling her pet puggle!
Dr Marianne Chua
Marianne is a distinguished graduate from the University of Melbourne, achieving excellence in both the Doctor of Dental Surgery program in 2023 and the Bachelor of Science in 2020. Her journey through academia fuelled a profound passion for the art and science of dentistry.
Dedicated to delivering superior patient care with expertise and compassion, Marianne is eager to contribute to the well-being of the Keilor East community and beyond as a general dentist. In her free time, she enjoys making and eating yummy food, practicing yoga, and lounging with her pet bunny.
Dr Lisa Peng
Lisa graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and Masters in Dentistry. As part of her program she has provided care for a diverse patient base in regional Victoria and is passionate about improving community health with involvement in outreach programs for local schools, kindergartens and aged-care facilities.
Lisa takes pride in providing high quality dental care. Through her gentle and friendly demeanour she hopes to alleviate any stress or anxiety that may often be associated with dental treatment. In her spare time, Lisa loves exploring new places to eat, reading and being a couch potato. Dr. Lisa’s spoken languages are English and conversational Mandarin.
Lisa Tran – Dental Assistant
Lisa started her dental journey at Keilor East Dental Smiles in 2022 with a passion for dental care, and delivering a huge smile for patients she interacts with. Whilst working, Lisa is continuing her studies in Certificate III Dental Assisting with aspirations to become a Dental Hygienist/ Oral Therapist.
Outside the clinic Lisa is an adventurous foodie – loves pasta, and adores her fur baby Mali.
Emily Farrugia – Dental Assistant
Emily is one of our dental assistants who has been working at our clinic since 2022.
She is currently studying a bachelor of nursing at Australian Catholic University.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with her friends and family, explore new food places and play with her three dogs.
Janelle Muscat – Dental Assistant
Janelle began her journey with Keilor East Dental smiles in 2022, she is currently studying her Diploma of Nursing and her aspirations are to complete her Bachelor of Nursing and become a Cosmetic Nurse.
Outside of the clinic Janelle enjoys eating out with friends and hanging out with her puppy Pyro.
Brigid Nguyen – Dental Assistant
Brigid embarked on her dental journey at Keilor East Dental Smiles in 2022, driven by a passion for dental care and a genuine desire to bring smiles to every patient she encounters. Whilst working at the clinic, Brigid is concurrently pursuing her studies in secondary school, setting her sights on becoming a general dentist in the future.
Outside the clinic, Brigid dedicates her free time to reading and playing with her two dogs – Teggy and Shadow.
